MTG - Learn to Play Magic The Gathering

JAKL KIDS Learn to Play Magic The Gathering (MTG) TCG (Trading Card Game) event is intended for those who are new to the game or have never played before. This event is an introduction and does not go into all details however players should leave with enough knowledge and ability to play on their own or attend our Magic The Gathering League where they can meet new friends and learn more about the amazing world of Magic The Gathering.
 
Participants can borrow a deck of cards or can purchase a starter kit that will come with everyhting needed to play.
 
This event is intended for ages 8 and up (Parents and siblings also welcome!) and will require parent/guardian to stay and assist during the event. Parent/guardian should be prepared to help their child with reading of the Magic The Gathering cards and assist with gameplay if required. As a group, we will go through gameplay step by step and finish off by playing 2-3 games. Our Learn To Play event is limited to 4-6 participants and usually lasts for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours and by the end most participants understand the basics of Magic The Gathering TCG and are able to play through a game with minimal assistance. This event is intended as an introduction only and does not cover all aspects of Magic The Gathering TCG.
